Summer Show Announcement!

Summer Theater Camp !

We are thrilled to offer ECT's first ever, Theatre Summer Camp, running June 19th-23rd @ Elkhorn South High School. Brandy Hall, ECT's own "Wicked Witch" and Seussical director, Ryan Pochop, and our very own Madison Becker will be leading us as we have workshops, dancing, singing and more, leading to a full final production!
This camp will be split into two different offerings based on your child's grade for the 2023-2024 school year.

  • Morning Session: (8am-12pm) 3rd grade - 6th grade - $115 per child
  • Full Day Session (8M-2pm) 7th grade - 9th grade - $200 per child

Our Main Stage Summer production this year will be focused on actors entering 10th grade and up. We encourage all of our younger theater members to sign up for our Summer camp for their own ECT experience.

The History of Elkhorn Community Theatre

About Us

The Elkhorn Community Theatre was founded on the objective to involve as many members of the community of Elkhorn as possible by participation in committees, by performing, or by attending the productions. It is our hope that providing this outlet will give the citizens an opportunity to bond as a community, and to improve the quality of life in Elkhorn. The Elkhorn Community Theatre, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Nebraska corporation, was founded in April 1998 upon the idea that every community can benefit from participation in the arts. Theater brings together many different talents and specialties, from the obvious, such as acting and singing, to the not-so-obvious, such as construction, choreography, lighting specialties, sound specialties, costuming, etc.

About Larry

The Recipient

The Recipient

Larry Brophy was one of the original members of the Elkhorn Community theatre. He was a lead on the stage, a director, a writer, and a friend. Sadly, Larry suddenly passed away January 27th, 2021. The Elkhorn Community Theatre family will ensure that Larry's love for theatre and the arts will live on through the recipients of this scholarship.

The Recipient

The 2022 Recipient is Stella Lewis. Stella graduated from Arlington High school in 2022, and will be attending The University of South Dakota in the Fall, studying English education and minoring in dance. "Dance has always been a major part in my life, and I am very excited that USD provides a dance minor within the theater department so that I can keep it a part of my life".  Beauty and the Beast is Stella's first ECT production, and we know it wont be her last. We can't wait to see who she will become!
